About Selim

I'm an FAA-certified Advanced Ground Instructor and Instrument Ground Instructor with PPL and IR ratings, and I'm a CPL/CFI candidate. In addition, I'm a fourth-year materials science and engineering student at Illinois Institute of Technology with two technical operations and one airport operations internships at United Airlines. On a day-to-day basis, I'm highly involved with my flight school's CFI training pipeline, the tech ops and engineering operation at my Big 3 legacy airline, and I'm entering the world of aviation parts sales and maintenance after graduation from engineering. Given my CFI candidacy as well as my methodical, engineering-based approach, I offer a structural yet sensible option for those of you looking to maximize your ground knowledge leading to your pilot licensure.

About the lesson

Your success in aviation means I take the time to listen to your goals, your habits, and your experiences and memories with flight. From there, we build a comprehensive lesson plan and work on the most critical and relevant topics to help you work on and pass your checkride, Biennial Flight Review, stage check, or guided ground discussion.

* I tailor every ground lesson to help you realize your potential.

* Foundational approach to private and instrument topics.

* Niche focus on regulations, techniques for commercial topics.

* Career-focused tips as well as safety-conscious habits for all pilots.

Selim is an excellent instructor who provided me with an in-depth understanding of basic aerodynamics: drag, ground effect, and wake turbulence. His understanding of FAA concepts and terms is unmatched in his native English, but he was kind enough to provide this lesson in Turkish to me. For a versatile instructor who is motivated to make a difference, I consult Selim and recommend him and him only.
