About Stuart
Stuart Bramwell is an award-winning Composer from the UK. Aged 26, he is currently faculty at the world-class Yehudi Menuhin School, freelancing as a professional Film/TV Composer, teaching privately as well as delivering lectures on Composition at top UK Universities, such as Pearson College, London. Stuart holds a 1st-class 'BMus' (Bachelors) degree from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and an 'MMus' (Masters) with highest distinction from the Berklee College of Music. In 2020, Stuart was the recipient of a coveted BAFTA scholarship and has since won several international 'Best Music' awards for his Film & TV scores. He has composed and arranged music for many major networks such as Classic FM, ITV, BBC, RTVE, RTVC. On YouTube, Stuart has amassed over 10,000 subscribers, sharing his compositions and musical arrangements viewed by millions (check out one at the bottom of the page!). Stuart has previously assisted 9-time Grammy nominated Hollywood composer Mark Portmann (Mission: Impossible Fallout) and 2-time Emmy nominated composer Paul Chihara (prior tutor to James Horner and James Newton Howard). Stuart has been lucky enough to collaborate with many acclaimed artists. These include Nicola Benedetti, Tasmin Little, Jennifer Pike, Chad Hoopes, Michael Bochmann, Nitin Sawhney, Edward Gardner, Colin Currie, Tai Murray, Nicholas Collon, Steve Forman, Kristjan Jarvi, Tecwyn Evans, Chloe Hanslip, Michael Francis, Richard O’Neill, Osmo Vänskä, Stephen Barlow, Quynh Nguyen, Zoë Beyers, Ben Goldscheider, Christian Kluxen, Alpesh Chauhan and more. Stuart has also worked alongside Hollywood talent including Andy Serkis, Alice Eve and Robert Hardy. This has included working alongside premiere ensembles such as the London Symphony Orchestra, Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra, Budapest Art Orchestra, National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain, Brodsky Quartet, Maxwell Quartet and Red Note ensemble. This has also taken him to world-class venues such as the Royal Festival Hall, Barbican, Bridgewater Hall, Symphony Hall, Usher Hall, Perth Concert Hall, Royal Glasgow Concert Hall, Snape Maltings, His Majesty’s Theatre, Leeds Town Hall, Birmingham Town Hall, Philharmonic Hall and the Royal Albert Hall, performing in the 2016 BBC Proms.

The number of students I can take is limited. This is due to being in high demand as a composer, orchestrator and arranger. You don't need to use the Superprof website. Contact me via email shown on my website (stuartbramwell . com - without the spaces) to discuss lessons.
I typically do lessons on an infrequent basis, as a form of 'consultation' as apposed to 'frequent lessons with lesson plans'. If you'd like a consultation for feedback on your work and to ask/or me about composition, orchestrating, arranging and music for film and tv, please get in touch.
Please note the hourly rate is £75 p/h. I can't change the old superprof advertised rate for some reason....

Stuart's custom-built music studio is one of the highlights of my lessons with him. He's able to run online-classes like nothing I've seen before. Fluidity, control and attentiveness I find typically lacks with other online classes, but Stuart's lessons do not follow that trend. Very friendly and we often have a laugh which makes for a wonderful learning atmosphere. I can't sing his praises enough!
