About Barnaby
From my time working with the Young Vic theatre, I found a great passion for and importance in helping others grow creatively. I have a strong history of directing performers and want to use this to help you achieve the best you can! My training is a real mixture of screen and stage, so you'll get the best of both worlds when it comes to how best to prepare yourself and what direction you should go in next.
The world of the performing arts sometimes has too many gatekeepers and harsh critiques - lucky for you I'm neither! I'm here to help get you to the next step and build your confidence along the way...

A bit about the sessions...
Sessions will typically last for an hour (though can be extended if necessary) and will be a mixture of warmup techniques, script analysis and direction for movement and speech. Whether its preparing for an audition or getting reading for the big performance, all lessons will aim to give the tutee confidence and direction in their acting. I also am keen to help others grow in their careers as performers and am happy to provide additional careers advice and possibly provide contacts - at no added cost!
A bit about me...
Previously, I have directed numerous short films during which I've had the pleasure of working which professional, notable and child performers alike. Additionally, I have spent a period working with the Young Vic Theatre and co-facilitated workshops at specialist schools across south London. On top of my work as a director, I have also worked in the assistant directors team for a BBC/BFI feature film as well as corporate and charity video content.
