About Zara
My passion for teaching stems from my own fear of making mistakes and getting content wrong when I was younger. My tutor at the time was encouraging and, as a result, I was able to thrive. I would like to inspire my students in the same way I was inspired, by using a variety of methods to ensure they feel comfortable and confident in what they are doing. I have had 4 years of experience in tutoring, teaching ages 4-18. I worked for a company managing groups of students before becoming a private tutor, and I pride myself on the excellent rapports I am able to build with students, ensuring they achieve their goals and make progress. Helping to teach students brings me so much joy, and I am truly passionate about it.

A key part of my lessons is that I strive to create a comfortable and safe environment where mistakes or being unable to understand are seen as a learning opportunity. I personalise the approach dependent on the way in which the student works, and always aim to make my lessons engaging as well as productive. By the end of a lesson, my aim is that the student leaves feeling fulfilled and proud of themselves.
