Teaching Art is what I feel like I was born to do. I have been teaching arts and practicing art-making for most of my life, I am very passionate about art teaching and I am very blissful with what arts has brought to this point of my career.

My teaching philosophy is simple. I am NOT a believer in "one size fits all". I believe and respect every student is unique and is driven by different means and needs. I employ different methods at different stages of their art learning journey. I genuinely believe that arts will continue to benefit outside the classroom regardless of what their initial motive for art lessons is. I've done this by structuring my art class with exposure to a wide range of mediums which requires lots of thinking and problem-solving skills. My lessons have been designed to strike a balance between technical skillsets and conceptual knowledge.

Michelle has been my art teacher for over eleven years now. Her inspirational teaching, keen observational sense and excellent technical skills are among the reasons I continue to study with her to this day. She is reliable, conscientious and committed to her teaching.
Personal experiences we have shared include using my own travel photos as reference for subsequent paintings. Providing me with expert tuition in oil painting, sketching, the use of acrylics, water colours and colour theory, Michelle is professional, patient, friendly, an excellent communicator, popular with students and always a pleasure to study with, both in the studio and in online Zoom classes. These are the reasons I think she would be a great teacher for any aspiring artist.
