About Iona
As a professional performer and founder of Shortwaves Production, I create a welcoming space where young actors feel confident, supported, and inspired. My online drama lessons focus on creativity, communication, and practical acting skills, helping children and teens grow both on and off camera.

I’m a First Class Honours Acting and Film graduate with professional experience in theatre, short film production, and on-set work. I’m also the founder and director of Shortwaves Production, where I develop and create original film projects — bringing real industry practice into my teaching.
My approach is practical, encouraging, and tailored to each student’s personality, age, and goals. Lessons focus on building confidence, creativity, emotional truth, and strong performance foundations while keeping sessions fun, engaging, and supportive. I combine acting technique with improvisation, script work, character development, voice and movement exercises, and on-camera confidence where appropriate.
For aspiring young actors, I also introduce audition skills, self-tape awareness, and professional mindset, helping students understand how the industry works both in front of and behind the camera.
A typical lesson lasts 45–60 minutes, depending on the student’s age and focus. Sessions usually include a warm-up, practical exercises, scene or monologue work, and constructive feedback. I currently tutor two regular online students and structure lessons to ensure steady progress while keeping students motivated and confident.
Lessons are suitable for kids and teens of all experience levels — from complete beginners building confidence and communication skills, to aspiring actors looking to develop technique and performance ability in a supportive online environment.
