About Stella
Hi there, I'm Stella!
I hold a First Class Honours degree in Education, English and Drama from The University of Cambridge, a Masters (in English Literature) with distinction from Cardiff University and am currently studying for a PhD in Children’s Literature at the University of Cambridge.
Academically, I have personally excelled at my own studies and have a strong work ethic which I aim to impart on all my students. I won several academic prizes upon graduation from Cambridge and strive to achieve excellence in all that I do.
I have a plethora of experiences in tutoring and teaching more generally. I have worked in various educational contexts, both in schools as well as spending my extra curricular hours at Cambridge working as a tutor and mentor in English literature and language. I have also tutored EAL students and spent a summer working as a mentor at a Chinese summer school.
I consider myself a bubbly, friendly and approachable tutor but above all else, I am highly motivated and industrious - I do not settle for anything other than the absolute best which my students can achieve! My individual methods are always rooted in a collaborative, creative and flexible ethos. I structure all my teaching around the individual student and their needs with a constant eagerness to review my own practice, assuring that my students gain exactly what they personally need from our sessions.
