About Clara
I am passionate about Psychology, having taken it for A-Level and as a BSc degree for three years, covering a wide range of topics. I did a dissertation in my final year of university achieving a 1st (73%), based on motivation's role in physical activity and how physical activity subsequently affects psychological wellbeing (anxiety/depression). This was a valuable experience, as it was such a large research project and excelled my understanding of psychology.
I have previously mentored first year Psychology students in both my second and third year of university. I helped them personally adjust to university life and academically with coursework questions, exam revision and any questions they had involving Psychology and styles of learning.
I also love art and being creative, which is really transferable to my academic experience, allowing me to be creative with my revision style and learning.
Additionally, I love yoga and self-care/wellbeing practices. I personally think it is crucial to take part frequently in physical activity and wellbeing practices such as yoga, reading and journalling to allow for maximised clarity and enjoyment in everyday life, which then helps aid other parts of people's busy life including academia.

I make sure to have different lesson plans based on what an individual wants to specifically target in terms of course material, learning style or personal revision goals. This plan will vary on what specific types of psychology an individual wants to learn about and their given course instructions to maximise the lessons effectiveness.
The initial lesson will include an introduction to tutoring, getting to know an individual's academic strengths and things they want to work on, so later sessions can be adjusted to these factors to help them excel with learning. Further sessions will build on specific goals which could include improving essay writing, exam revision, dissertation research and writing guidance and overall psychological knowledge learning.
Asking questions and recall (through quizzes I will create) will be a main part of teaching for students wanting to learn more and revise for exams. Additionally, based on my own previous work and research, I will be able to offer example work and revision material/templates.
A lesson is typically an hour slot, however longer sessions are accepted.
My lessons are aimed at all levels including GCSE, A-Level and a university level.
