About Adrionna
As stated in my ad, I am a former AICE student. I am currently a junior in college. I’ve been tutoring one student consistently for a year, including the summer. He has grown exponentially in his math and reading skills. I’m a very adaptable person, which is reflected in my teaching methods for each child. I strive for perfection every day, and I will teach your child to the best of my ability so they may be successful.

I am a firm believer that no child learns the same. I first try to teach the “textbook” way, the way they would typically learn it in school, just in greater detail. Then, if they are still having trouble with the subject, I try to relate it to something that they love doing. For example, one person I have been tutoring for about a year now loves football and he struggles with skip counting by 6s and 7s. I related skip counting in those areas to football through points and scoring touchdowns. He is also a very hands-on learner. For example, to learn time, we used real clocks and bingo games. I also take academic breaks depending on how long I am tutoring for because they are necessary for efficient learning. If I’m tutoring for an hour in English, we may take a five-minute break to play the rhyming game (you say a word and the other person says another that rhymes and so on). If the student is older, I change the games so that they are not boring to them. In conclusion, I don’t have one specific teaching method. It changes from child to child.
