About Melody
I have danced all my life. I began when I was six years old and continue to teach today. As a professional dancer, I performed in many ballets ("The Nutcracker", "Coppelia", "Giselle"...) and artistic works over the years and enjoyed choreographing my own.
I worked with dancers from several different companies in California to choreograph original works. I also choreographed musicals ( "River City Revue", "Pirates of Penzance", and "The Music Man") in the Sacramento and Los Angeles areas.
My teaching credits include Pamela Trokanski's Dance Theater in Davis, California, and Tremaine Dance Studio in Los Angeles.

I focus on strong technique from the Royal Academy of Dance in England. Building on that technique, I like to infuse my lessons with as much joy as possible. Why else would we dance?
Music is a big part of my lessons because it inspires us to dance and our bodies respond to the emotion music elicits.
