About De-Andra
I have over 5 years of working with SEN students and mainstream students. I obtained this experience when working in schools as a teaching assistant delivering literacy lessons and EAL (English as a secondary language) and as a cover teacher specialising in English with students the age of 11 - 16.
I have had the honour of stepping in and facilitating GCSE English, and GCSE literacy lessons for children who were less able due to their specific needs such as autism, ADHD and cognitive processing delays. I also was given the privilege of teaching 10 classes every fortnight which is almost a full teaching time table.

I have an inclusive approach to tutoring for English. I ensure that all abilities and backgrounds are able to access learning which is best suitable for each student. I identify the need of the student and work within that students boundaries.
I have over 5 years of experience in working with mainstream students and students thathave Special Educational Needs (SEN). This experience comes from working in schools as a teaching assistant and cover teacher working with both mainstream and SEN.
Depending on the age and ability of the students I will always differentiate the work accordingly to students feel comfortable and not overwhelmed and will always test the knowledge of each student at specified times.
The typical length of a lesson can range from 30-60 minutes which also depends on the student and what their cognitive processing can allow.
My lessons are from children starting from the ages of 5 up to adults who require learning English as a second language.
