Katey was my English/Composition/Creative Writing teacher throughout all four years of high school. I was the typical teenager who hated everyone and everything, but she was patient and kind and helped me through a lot of the tough stuff. She’s also very creative! Her positive attitude is refreshing any day, and her willingness to help people learn is undeniable! I’ve never met an individual who is so dedicated to her students.

Let me tell you this. Mrs. Girard is more than a teacher. She has so much compassion in her soul it shines through in her personality. She was my teacher once and I never forgot her. She got me through my classes and not just the one she was teaching me. She got me through all of them. She knows her stuff inside and out. She is the definition of a perfect teacher, mentor, advisor, and friend. I cannot recommend her enough for countless things. She is a big part of my story and I wouldn’t be the man I am today without her. 100%, all of the time, I advise anyone to get assistance, words of encouragement, or just a laugh from Katey Girard.

As a coworker of Katey's, I can truly vouch for her knowledge of books, literature, and the English language. She is excellent at recommending the right books for people, discussing literature in-depth, and has a very strong grasp of the English language and literary concepts. She loves to share her knowledge and passion with others. She's very empathetic and understanding of others' needs. Katey does an excellent job of working with children and teens and is knowledgeable about current events and pop culture, which enables her connect to her students on a stronger level. She's also very creative and FUN!!

Katey was my 10th grade English teacher. From the very beginning I took a liking to her. She is so personable, caring, and trustworthy. She always pushed me to do my work and be the best I could be, all while teaching me everything I needed to know. She guided me through everything that I didn’t understand, and never once made me feel bad about not knowing or understanding something. She is one of the greatest teachers I have ever had.

Mrs. Girard was such a fun and caring teacher to have. She taught me English in high school and she really made the learning experience interesting. If you need help with English, she is not just a teacher but she really loves and cares about reading and writing!

Katey is a wonderfully pleasant instructor. She always provides helpful notes and instructions on positive way, which is something I really appreciate as someone who is shy about my writing. I had the pleasure to take two classes with her, which are the best writing courses I have taken.
