About Clare
I have been teaching ballet (and more recently modern) for the last 7, years partly at my own dance school as well as teaching at other schools in Kent and London. Guest teacher on Tring Park Associates holiday courses.
I have taught several hundred students who have achieved mostly merits and distinctions throughout the RAD ballet grades.
As well as this I have successfully coached vocational students in their build up to auditioning for full time, professional training.
Fully qualified and registered with both the RAD (Royal Academy of Dance), ISTD (Imperial Society of Dance Teachers), CDET (council for Dance Education and Training) recognised teacher and fully insured with enhanced DBS check.

I am happy to coach dancers for exams, performance and auditions, helping dancers achieve and refine their best ballet technique, as well as stretching, musicality and performance.
As well as this I am also happy to teach adult beginners the fundamentals in a fun manner, enhancing any ballet classes they may already be attending, helping ensure that they feel confident and secure in their dance technique when taking part in general dance and ballet classes.
My ballet classes are based on the RAD method of teaching ballet, although I do have experience in the Cecchetti and Russian styles too. I use initial classes to break down and teach the foundations of ballet technique and safety if necessary, as well as teaching the vocabulary of classical ballet technique, before moving onto more complex sequences, specific syllabi or choreography.
I also focus on core control and the mechanics of ballet technique building strength through the use of conditioning exercises tailored to the individual's requirements and challenges. I am passionate about finding the best way for each dancer to work, in order to ensure they achieve the best results for their body with the safest practice.
I can also work with the student to address any current challenges technically or artistically that they may be encountering.
In our first class, we will discuss your goals, and what experience you currently have, as well as deciding what will work best for you schedule-wise.
I ensure that students enter the class in a calm, mindful manner to assist focus and maximise achievement through visualisation together with conscientious practice.
