I have had the absolute pleasure of working alongside Steph in her role as a drama lecturer at The University of Highlands and Islands. She is, in short, a complete powerhouse and an inspiration. She combines industry experience as a director and producer with performance training and academic knowledge of theatre and performance theory. She also has a deeply student-led approach with an understanding of a variety of teaching and pastoral practices which allows her to provide bespoke support, encouragement and creative challenge to all the learners she works with. I have learnt so much from her in my time as her colleague!

I have know Stephanie for around 12 years. We have worked together on many projects, both as co artists and also hiring her as a freelance drama tutor and director. She is incredibly talented at what she does, both facilitating and creating. I can always be confident she will come to a project very well prepared and with a clear plan and outcome in mind. She has always delivered and more than exceeds my expectations on each occasion. I can honestly say I will definitely work with Stephanie again in the future and recommend her often to other companies in the performing arts field.

Steph is such a raw and engaging tutor, by all means she will ensure the information is drilled into you and will encourage you through every little step. She is fantastic for your learning and your confidence in your field.

Steph Smart is undoubtedly the best tutor , lecturer and acting coach I have ever had. I have had many, but none come close to what Steph has to offer.
