About Neressa
I'm a qualified Foundation phase Educator with 9 years of experience in special needs. I have also tutored many students who were having difficulty reading. I am also a qualified dancer and hair dresser. I was awarded a scholarship to study at the University of Bangalore, India by the Indian Consulate. I completed my BA (Psychology). When I returned I completed my Post Graduate Certificate in Education. After 9 years of teaching I left the Dept of Education to be a hands on mum to my two children. I miss teaching and would love to get back to doing what I do best. Knowledge must be shared. I want to use my abilities to change lives.

I believe that getting to know my student is key. I use your interests and strengths and incorporate them into the lesson. This boosts confidence and a confident learner is a successful learner. I encourage my learners and guide them towards their goal using various methods should one not work. I show my learners fun and unusual ways to remember rules for grammar and numeracy. Learners feel a sense of accomplishment when they arrive at solutions independently. I hope you give me the chance to help you improve in the areas you are struggling with!

Neressa is an absolute gem of a teacher. She has a lot of patience with kids and can identify with them, by understanding them to the best of her ability. She has educated and tutored many kids successfully and would do a tremendous job with your kids! Neressa is an optimistic person and brings a lot of positivity to the child when teaching.
