About Tommy
Tommy Bisson is a freelance drummer and experienced educator, holding a First Class BA (Hons) degree in Music. During his studies, he trained with distinguished industry professionals, including Paul Geary (Nik Kershaw), Brian Henry (Chaka Khan), Ben Scott (Ed Sheeran), and Toby Drummond (Sir Cliff Richard). In recognition of his outstanding achievements, he was selected from his cohort to receive the Contemporary Music Award from The Worshipful Company of Musicians.
As a performer, Tommy has appeared at a wide range of venues and festivals across the United Kingdom, including the AO Arena Manchester, The Camden Assembly, and the O2 Academy Islington. His extensive live experience informs his teaching, enabling him to provide students with practical insight into professional musicianship and performance.
In addition to his live work, Tommy is an accomplished recording artist, having participated in sessions at Metropolis Studios in London. Recordings he has contributed to have received radio airplay.
Tommy has over five years of experience teaching drums in both individual and group settings, working with students aged 3 to 63. He has considerable experience preparing students for performances and graded examinations, with a strong record of pupils achieving merits and distinctions.
Across performance, recording, and education, Tommy demonstrates professionalism, dedication, and a commitment to supporting the musical development of his students.
