My techniques of tutoring include repeat handwriting for memorization. Highlighting, drawing, and using prompts and flashcards for revision of work. I find drawing, labeling, and using diagrams to be an efficient teaching method that helps retain information along with verbal and written instructions. Lesson plan: Introduction Review criteria sheet Create list of what needs to be studied, reviewed, or learned Work through list using different approaches- writing, speaking, highlighting main ideas, drawing, coloring, prompting, mind maps, etc to find whatever works the most efficiently for you.
