About Nyssa
My full-time job is a French teacher, but I learned the language in a classroom in secondary school and at university. As an adult, I studied abroad in the south of France and then had the opportunity to teach English there as well and be an Au Pair. The immersive experience really helped progress my French to fluent, and I wanted to continue studying it so I completed a Masters in French at Oxford and then gained my teaching qualification. I love helping others open their eyes to different cultures, not just France, and how language skills can benefit them across different subjects and parts of their life.

I use your level of understanding and what you would like to achieve to adapt my lessons. I enjoy using authentic resources to create more engaging lessons, and also take your interests into account. I love breaking the language down into easily accessible steps and building from there so you can feel successful in every lesson. I have a wealth of resources across different textbooks as well as my own homemade resources that are used by French teachers internationally.

Nyssa is an incredible tutor! she made every class interesting and engaging - always sharing interesting resources that met me at my level but also stretched me.
