About Joe
With five years’ experience working with Primary and Secondary age children through my charitable work promoting economic literacy for young people, I have now trained as a Primary school teacher at the University of Cambridge. I have developed excellent teaching practices and resources in English, Maths and Science and am now available for 1:1 tutoring during July and August 2021.
Every child has been uniquely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, and so every pupil’s needs this summer will be different. Getting to know the needs of each individual is a strength of my practice, described by my Cambridge mentor as building a “very strong relationship with every child”.

Trained in the latest evidence-based practices and pedagogies including Talk for Learning, the mastery approach in mathematics, active learning and positive value and behaviour reinforcement, Joe is a highly motivated educator described as a “calm, confident and enthusiastic teacher”.
Joe is able to ensure every child he works with has access to the learning that is both right for them, and at their age-related expectations. Through a deep understanding of the individual, a strong knowledge of the KS1 & KS2 curriculum and consistent practice in scaffolding, differentiation and mastery, Joe ensures that every child is pushing themselves in a safe and celebratory environment.
Whether it is championing children to reach beyond age-related expectations, or supporting them with the help they need to meet them, Joe is able to provide tutoring for any Primary child with a wide range of needs, including those with learning difficulties or identified as being of greater depth.
