About Lily
With an offer from the University of Cambridge to study Psychological and Behavioural Sciences, I am a friendly tutor looking for students to mentor before beginning my undergraduate studies. Having mentored younger students in my school I found a real enjoyment for teaching and would love to take this further. Having been in the secondary education system so recently means I can empathise well with the difficulties students may face during their school lessons, and am eager to work with individuals to overcome these difficulties in a way which is well adapted to their learning styles. With 10 level 9s / A*s at GCSE, an A in AS Level maths, and 3 anticipated A*s in Biology, Chemistry and Religious Studies A Levels, I have a consistent high academic performance and am passionate in my subjects, so am eager to help aid other students in reaching their full academic potential.

Having sat the 11+ exam myself many years ago, my lessons are taught from a unique position of understanding. I am committed to formulating individually tailored lessons based upon the needs of the student.
I offer lessons covering all areas of the 11+ exam, including Verbal Reasoning, Nonverbal Reasoning, English and Maths.
I have over two years of experience in private tuition. On top of this, I have both experience with both paid work and voluntary work with young people with Special Educational Needs, meaning I am empathetic to the different manners in which individuals learn most efficiently. I am thus well accustomed to adapting my methods accordingly.
An outline of each lesson will be discussed and planned in advanced, ensuring it is focused on those areas which the student is struggling with the most, and meaning an organised, varied and successful study schedule is created.
