Friendly motivated bilingual French and English teacher - French tutor with Luke

I cannot recommend Luke highly enough!

I had previously tried group classes and other tutors, as well as various applications and vocab books, but it is really Luke who has transformed my French. He is an excellent tutor as well as being friendly and positive company.

You have the benefit of someone who is totally bilingual but understands the journey you are on from an English-speaker's perspective. He doesn't just correct me, he predicts my mistakes and helps me think past them.

His methods are both unique and effective, and I am no longer scared of grammar. He has radically improved my accent with a few simple breathing exercises. I used to struggle with separating the words in French, often hearing them as a jumbled mass but now his listening tips have enabled me to use my French at speed in business conversations and I feel a lot more confident.

I found Luke by chance whilst searching for French tutorials. That was a year ago now and my French has springboarded from basic phrases to upper intermediate using his methods. He has a unique style of teaching through sounds. I have never been academic so this is perfect for me. I have now started one to one lessons with him with a view to becoming accredited. I'm excited about how far I can go with it. I never thought I would be able to grasp another language but Luke makes it so easy to understand and provides the tools you need to master it. Highly recommend him to anyone who struggles with the academic side and also English Grammar.
