About Niyaz
Qualification: Introductory (Level 1) Safeguarding Children in Education 2026 - Prospero Learning
I am currently a third year Biomedical Science student, specialising in Health, Exercise and Nutrition. Ever since I was a young child, I have always had the fascination of numbers and the methods of using numbers to solve different types of questions.
Here is why parents trust my tutoring:
Aligned with school lessons: I teach using the same Key Stage 2 methods your child sees in class—like bar models and place value charts—so they won't get confused by conflicting techniques.
Parents welcome: You’re free to sit in on any online session whenever you like. You should always know exactly how your child is being taught.
Ready from minute one: Every 30-minute session is fully planned with materials ready to go, so we don't waste a single minute getting set up.
Regular updates: After each lesson, I’ll drop you a quick note to let you know what we worked on, what clicked, and what we'll focus on next time.
Relatable and encouraging: Being a university student means I’m close enough in age to keep lessons friendly and stress-free. Kids feel comfortable making mistakes here, which is how they actually build confidence.

Learning maths shouldn't feel like a chore. I offer dedicated 30-minute sessions specifically designed for Key Stage 2 pupils (Years 3 to 6).
Why 30-Minute Sessions Work for KS2:
1) Maximum Focus: 7-to-11-year-olds learn best in short, high-energy bursts before attention dips.
2) Zero Overwhelm: We tackle one core concept per session (e.g., long multiplication, fractions, or word problems) so your child leaves feeling capable, not exhausted.
3) Consistent Progress: Easier to fit into busy school weeks without feeling heavy.
As a current university student launching my tutoring practice, I bring fresh enthusiasm, patience, and up-to-date knowledge of current school methods. Being new means I am 100% committed to every single student—taking the time to carefully tailor lessons, prepare visual materials, and build a warm, encouraging environment where making mistakes is just part of learning.
What We Cover:
1) Key Stage 2 National Curriculum topics (Years 3, 4, 5 & 6)
2) Core arithmetic, times tables, and mental maths fluency
3) Step-by-step problem-solving and word problems
4) SATs prep or general confidence building

Niyaz is an amazing tutor who is very polite and friendly. He has taught me math in a visual way that is simple and easy to understand. He has made difficult math concepts a breeze. I'm a happy, confident student.
He is a great tutor as he helped out my younger son with his maths work. My son is finding it so much easier to understand harder math topics.
