About Caoimhe
I have a 1st in English and Creative Writing from Queen's University Belfast, and I am a fully qualified English teacher (QTS, PGCE and ECT years completed). I am particularly passionate about creative writing; I write novels in my spare time! I believe English literature and language are vital qualifications, not only for the workforce but for life, and I have found that one-to-one tutoring is the ideal way to instil that passion and drive into a student.

I have two years' experience in the classroom as well as tutoring, and I have seen many of my students excel, both achieving and exceeding their target grades. I take a holistic approach to tutoring sessions, tailored to the student's needs. I can take a student through a text or poem step by step, following a lesson plan with learning objectives, take them through the process of writing an essay or give detailed feedback on pre-written work, and provide close revision exercises in the run-up to exams. My background is with secondary school students ages 11-18.
