About Filipa
Portuguese is my native language. I have lived in Portugal for 18 years and I have tutored for 2 years advanced portuguese to a few students!
Being a student in Portugal I had to learn the language, study in depth and interpret the work of many portuguese writers (like Fernando Pessoa). During that time I had an overall grade of A*/A in the subject.
Even though I have experience in teaching more advanced students, I can also teach Portuguese for beginners!

My goal is to show you the beauty of my language!
I balance my lessons between grammar, vocabulary and interpretation. I'll increase the level of difficulty by assessing your performance orally and through some exercises.
When interpreting a text, I will also be able to give you an insight on "why" the author wrote it, linking it to what was happening at the time!
I can adjust my lessons to your preferences! Whether you wish to just learn the basic to visit Portugal or to learn the meaning behind the words of the greatest authors.
