About Claudia
I am currently completing a Master of Arts in Education at McGill University. I have a solid background in science and technology as well as mathematics. I want to ensure that all students feel comfortable in their schooling, despite encountering challenges in certain subject areas. My goal as a teacher are to promote student involvement, active learning and, when possible, creativity in my students.

Hi, Students!
I can tutor you in Science and Mathematics at the secondary school level, namely grades 7, 8, 9, and 10 (or sec. 1, 2, 3, and 4).
My Lesson plan is as follows:
1. A review of what was taught in class by the student to the tutor. This way, the student is reviewing the material and can easily highlight what they don't understand. This also helps the tutor assess the student's knowledge
2. The tutor comes up with a few examples of the material and goes through the solutions. Then, the tutor guides the student through an example, until gradually, the student is able to do it by themself
3. The lesson ends with a review (of theory and practice) and occasionally with an assessment covering topics of the day and/or of the past lessons
As the tutor gets to know the student, individualized and personalized teaching can be applied to the lesson if the student struggles with the material.
