Warli art is an ancient Indian tradition practiced by tribes in western India to depict their daily life and rituals in a simple yet meaningful way. You’ll be amazed at how, with just two colors and a canvas, we can create artwork that is both simple yet powerful. In this 90-minute lesson, students will learn about the history and significance of Warli art and will have the opportunity to create their own basic Warli painting using geometric shapes. Let’s relax in this casual, fun environment, taking your time and finishing your painting at your own pace. Come explore how ancient civilizations used art to express their lives! All ages are welcome.
