About Oscar
I’m a dedicated Medical Sciences graduate with a strong foundation in the scientific world and a deep enthusiasm for sharing knowledge. I truly loved my degree and firmly believe that science should be engaging and accessible to everyone — no matter their background or starting point. Alongside my academic journey, I’ve spent many years immersed in the world of music. As a performer and choral scholar, I’ve seen first-hand how music can inspire, heal, and transform lives. I’m passionate about helping others discover the richness of music, and if you’re looking for support in this area, you’ll be hard-pressed to find someone more enthusiastic and committed than me. I started tutoring because I know how powerful the right support can be. Whether it’s breaking down a tricky biology concept or making music theory finally click, I genuinely enjoy helping students gain confidence and clarity. Teaching gives me the chance to not just pass on knowledge, but to inspire enthusiasm and a sense of achievement.

As a Medical Sciences graduate and former choral scholar, my tutoring style blends academic precision with a creative, engaging approach to learning. I believe every student learns differently, so I tailor each lesson to suit their individual pace, goals, and learning style. My teaching combines clear explanation with active engagement: • I break down complex concepts into manageable parts and use analogies that relate to students’ own interests. • I prioritise understanding over memorisation, using questioning techniques that help students explain ideas in their own words. • For exam preparation, I focus on exam technique, timed practice, and feedback, building confidence and strategy. • In music theory, I use both aural and written exercises, contextualising theory through real musical examples to make it come alive. Lessons are interactive and student-led: I encourage questions, curiosity, and critical thinking. Who I teach: • GCSE and A-Level students in biology, chemistry, and general science. • KS3 students looking to build strong foundations early on • Music students preparing for theory exams (all grades), GCSE/A-Level Music, or looking to understand harmony and notation more deeply. Also those looking for singing tips and techniques. • Adult learners returning to music or science with a personal or professional interest
