About Ryan
Who I Am — and Why I Teach Dance
Dance has always been more than movement for me — it’s a language, a way to connect, to express, and to understand myself and others. From the first moment I stepped into a studio, I realised that dance isn’t just about mastering technique — it’s about discovering who you are through motion.
Over the years, I’ve trained, performed, and learned from incredible teachers who shaped not only how I dance, but how I think about teaching. I’ve seen how one-on-one guidance can unlock confidence, clarity, and artistry in ways that group classes sometimes can’t. That’s why I’m drawn to private tutoring — because it gives me the space to truly see each student, to meet them exactly where they are, and to help them grow in a way that feels personal and empowering.
I teach because I love witnessing those small, powerful moments when something “clicks” — when a student feels the music differently, when their body finds new freedom, when they start to trust themselves. Those moments remind me why dance matters.
For me, teaching isn’t just passing on what I know — it’s about sharing the joy, discipline, and creativity that dance brings into everyday life. My goal is to help each student not just improve their technique, but to move with confidence, authenticity, and meaning — both in the studio and beyond.
