About Vasiliki
Hi! I'm a passionate and energetic English tutor with a strong background in both language and the performing arts. I graduated from the Department of English Language and Literature at the Kapodistrian University of Athens, and I’m currently a student at the Drama School of the National Theatre of Northern Greece. My love for language and performance allows me to bring creativity, clarity, and confidence into every lesson. With three years of teaching experience at a private school in Athens, I’ve helped students of all levels improve their grammar, pronunciation, reading, and writing — always with a personal, expressive approach. I strongly believe that learning works best when it's both fun and focused. I value discipline and structure in the learning process, but I also believe lessons should be engaging, inspiring, and tailored to each student’s needs and goals. Greek Language Lesson Plan (60 minutes) Level: A1–B2 (Beginner to Intermediate) Focus: Vocabulary, Grammar, Reading, Speaking Style: Structured, fun, culturally rich, and expressive Objectives: By the end of the lesson, the student will: Expand their vocabulary and use it in context Understand key points of Greek grammar and syntax Practice reading aloud and improve pronunciation Engage in simple dialogues or role-play (based on level) LESSON BREAKDOWN 1. Warm-up (10 minutes) Quick greetings and check-in in Greek Mini speaking challenge: e.g. “Tell me 3 things about your morning in Greek!” Review of previous material (if not the first class) 2. Vocabulary & Grammar Focus (15 minutes) Introduction of new vocabulary (based on theme: food, travel, feelings, daily routine, etc.) Teach 1–2 grammar points (e.g., present tense verbs, cases, articles, prepositions) Use visuals, real-life examples, and comparisons to English where helpful 3. Reading + Syntax Practice (15 minutes) Read a short Greek text (dialogue, paragraph, or adapted article) Practice reading aloud with correct pronunciation Discuss word order, sentence structure, and key phrases Student rewrites 1–2 sentences using new grammar 4. Speaking Practice / Role-play (15 minutes) Use a scenario (café, airport, phone call, etc.) Student plays a role using new vocabulary and grammar Correct mistakes gently, and re-do for fluency 5. Wrap-up & Homework (5 minutes) Quick review: “What did you learn today?” Assign a short task: write 3 sentences, practice vocabulary, voice message in Greek Encourage consistency and self-practice
