About Octavian
I began playing the violin at the age of 7, having my first concert as a soloist by the age of 8 with Brasov Philharmonic, Romania. I studied under the guidance of Charles Sewart, Remus Azoitei, Joshua Fisher while earning bachelors degree at the Royal Academy of music in London and currently studying with legendary pedagogues such as Miriam Fried, Mauricio Fuks and Ayano Ninomiya at the New England Conservatory in USA, Boston. I specialized in technical accuracy and interdisciplinary training of how to understand the music through the theoretical aspects as well. I have complex training from the esteem theorist and musicologist from Yale and Harvad institution, Andrew Schartmann.
I hold 1st prize of many international violin competitions, and prize winner of the Royal Philharmonic Society Julius Isserlis Scholarship and Mircea Cristescu.

I teach all levels and ages from beginner to advanced and construct each lesson to adhere to the individual student's needs. I specialize in tutoring beginner, intermediate and advanced level music theory, teaching violin technique, scales and arpeggios, day-to-day practice and repertoire studies, including ABRSM.
