About Divine
My name is Divine Nyarko and I have always had a passion for education and helping others learn. From a young age, I found joy in explaining concepts to my classmates and friends, and I knew that teaching was the path I wanted to pursue. I believe that education is a powerful tool that can transform lives and open doors to endless possibilities. I want to make a positive impact on the lives of students and help them reach their full potential. I am dedicated to creating a supportive and nurturing learning environment where students feel valued, respected, and motivated to succeed. I am committed to lifelong learning and strive to continuously improve my teaching practices to better serve my students. I believe in the importance of fostering a growth mindset in students, encouraging them to embrace challenges and learn from their mistakes. My personal approach to teaching mathematics and science is to make the subjects engaging, relevant, and hands-on for students. I believe that students learn best when they are actively involved in their learning and can see the real-world applications of what they are studying. In my classroom, I strive to create a positive and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and exploring new concepts. I encourage a growth mindset, emphasising that it’s okay to struggle with a problem as long as they keep trying and learning from their mistakes. I also like to incorporate a variety of teaching methods and resources to cater to different learning styles. This may include using visual aids, hands-on experiments, group work, technology, and real-life examples to help students grasp difficult concepts. I believe in making connections between mathematics and science and showing students how they are interconnected. For example, I may use data analysis in science experiments or incorporate mathematical principles into physics problems. By showing students the relevance of these subjects in the real world, I hope to inspire them to see the value in learning mathematics and science. Overall, my goal as a teacher is to instil a love of learning in my students and help them develop the critical thinking skills needed to succeed in these subjects and beyond. I strive to create a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel empowered to explore, question, and discover the wonders of mathematics and science.
