About Maya
I majored in Afrikaans, and am busy with a honnors program in Language Practice, which is all about editing, translating and interpreting (between Afrikaans and English). I am considering doing an education degree after my honnors, to specialise in Afrikaans teaching for highschool pupils. I would therefore love to learn and explore Afrikaans with you! I believe everyone should learn a language in the most fun way possible, with the minimum stress.

My aim is to create a teaching environment where there is no stress, to create and nurture a love for Afrikaans, so students proficient in English with no experience in Afrikaans are most welcome! However, any level of Afrikaans proficiency is welcome. I especially have an interest in literature, so literature classes are also available. Reading and writing skills will also be a teaching priority.
