About Cherice

I'm a professional actress, acting coach and experienced drama teacher with a genuine passion for helping people discover their confidence, creativity and unique voice.

With over 12 years of drama teaching experience, including seven years running my own children's performing arts school, I've had the pleasure of working with students of all ages, personalities and abilities. One of the things I love most about teaching is watching someone move beyond their self-doubt, surprise themselves with what they're capable of and truly come alive through performance.

Alongside teaching, I'm a professionally represented actress with experience across film, television and commercials. I've trained extensively in a range of acting techniques, including Meisner, Method Acting and Ivana Chubbuck, and continue to develop my own craft as a working performer.

My approach combines professional acting techniques with playfulness, curiosity, emotional connection and a strong emphasis on authenticity. I believe the most compelling performances happen when we stop trying to get everything 'right', let go of self-consciousness and allow ourselves to be fully present.

I'm a warm, encouraging and enthusiastic teacher who knows how important it is to create an environment where students feel comfortable, supported and free to experiment. I'll challenge you to grow, celebrate your progress and help you develop the confidence to make bold, truthful acting choices.

Whether you're completely new to acting, preparing for auditions or looking to deepen your skills as a performer, I'll meet you where you are and help you take your next steps with confidence.

My approach to acting coaching is playful, intuitive, supportive and rooted in the belief that great acting comes from authenticity, connection and the freedom to express ourselves without fear of judgement.

I create a relaxed, encouraging environment where students feel safe to take risks, explore their creativity, step outside their comfort zones and discover what makes them unique as performers.

As a professional actress and experienced drama teacher, I draw upon a range of techniques, including Meisner, Method Acting, Ivana Chubbuck and improvisation, adapting my approach to suit each student's personality, experience and individual goals.

My sessions can include:

- **Acting technique and character development** – exploring emotional truth, objectives, relationships and authentic performance.
- **Script analysis and scene work** – bringing characters and stories to life with depth, spontaneity and connection.
- **Audition and self-tape preparation** – developing confidence, making strong acting choices and delivering compelling performances.
- **Improvisation and creative exploration** – encouraging spontaneity, playfulness and freedom of expression.
- **Confidence and self-expression** – helping students overcome self-consciousness, trust their instincts and feel more comfortable being seen.

**My experience**

I have over 12 years of experience teaching drama and performing arts, including seven years running my own children's performing arts school. I have worked extensively with children and young people of all ages and abilities, helping them develop their acting skills, creativity and confidence.

Alongside teaching, I am a professionally represented screen actress with experience across film, television and commercials. My own training includes Meisner, Method Acting, Ivana Chubbuck and other approaches to truthful, instinctive performance.

**Who are my lessons for?**

My lessons are suitable for children, teenagers and adults, from complete beginners to aspiring and developing actors looking to strengthen their craft.

Whether you're preparing for an audition, developing your screen acting skills, exploring acting for the first time or simply wanting to become more confident and expressive, I'll tailor our sessions to your individual needs.

**Lesson length**

Lessons are typically 60 minutes, allowing time for warm-ups, practical exercises, scene work and personalised feedback. Longer sessions can also be arranged for more in-depth coaching or audition preparation.

Above all, I believe acting should be an exciting, liberating and deeply human experience. My aim is to help you move beyond overthinking, trust your instincts and discover the joy of truly being present in the moment.
