As a tutor, I believe in a student-centred approach where lessons are interactive, practical, and tailored to meet individual learning styles. I use techniques like role-playing, conversation practice, and multimedia resources such as videos, music, and stories to make lessons engaging and relatable.
My ability to teach five languages—Swahili, English, French, Chinese, and Kamba—gives me a unique perspective on language learning. I understand the challenges of learning new languages and use that insight to create an encouraging, supportive environment. A typical lesson plan would look something like this: i) Warm up (5-10 minutes): A brief review of the previous lesson or an icebreaker activity to engage the student.
Main Content (20-30 minutes): Introduction of new concepts—grammar, vocabulary, or phrases—followed by practical exercises.
Practice and Application (15-20 minutes): Interactive activities such as conversations, role-plays, or problem-solving tasks.
Feedback and Homework (5-10 minutes): A recap of key points, personalised feedback, and a simple assignment to reinforce the lesson..
My lessons are tailored for all Levels: Beginners to Intermediate learners.
Ages: Suitable for adults, teens, and children.
