About Alice
I recently finished an MPhil in English at the University of Cambridge, having been awarded a scholarship on the basis of academic merit. I’m currently writing an PhD proposal, and would be very pleased to hear from any students and parents looking for help with humanities subjects. I’d also be happy to help with university entrance examinations, interviews and personal statements.

My teaching style aims to encourage intellectual curiosity in my students, to give them a well-rounded as well as results-driven approach to their subject. I tend to begin with a discussion of some of their work and how it might be improved to fit an exam specification, before opening out into a broader discussion of the sorts of concepts and arguments used in their writing.
