About Xenia
Hi! I’m Xenia, a Library and Information Science graduate from the University of the Philippines Diliman. As an advocate for information literacy, I’m passionate about helping learners discover the joy of reading and build confidence in English.
My experience in library has strengthened my appreciation for different learning needs, while helping my younger brothers with their homework has taught me the value of patience, clear explanations, and encouragement. I bring these qualities to lessons tailored to your reading level, interests, and goals.
You can expect a welcoming space where questions are encouraged and mistakes are part of learning. Through engaging stories, thoughtful conversations, and guided practice, we’ll work together to strengthen your vocabulary, pronunciation, and reading comprehension—one page at a time!

My approach is patient, encouraging, and centered on making reading enjoyable. I help learners feel comfortable asking questions, trying unfamiliar words, and learning from mistakes. Through reading aloud, storytelling, word games, and guided discussions, we work on pronunciation, vocabulary, and understanding what we read.
A typical lesson starts with a friendly check-in and a short activity to spark interest. We then read a passage or story suited to the learner’s level, explore new words, and discuss the characters and ideas. We end with a fun review and a small reading goal to build confidence between sessions.
As a Library and Information Science graduate from the University of the Philippines, I bring a love of books and an advocacy for information literacy. I enjoy helping readers find stories that match their interests and encouraging them to think about what they read. Helping my younger brothers with their homework has also taught me to explain ideas clearly and adapt to different learning needs.
My lessons are for children, beginning readers, and learners who want extra support with English reading. Whether we’re sounding out words or exploring a story’s meaning, we’ll learn at a comfortable pace and celebrate progress along the way!
