About Alexis
I am a recent graduate with my Master's in Toxicology, and a Bachelor's of Science in Forensics. I believe I am proficient in chemistry courses as basic as General Chemistry to Organic Chemistry, to specialized courses like Toxicology, Organ Physiology, and lastly basic biology courses. I always strive for excellence in my own work and understand the frustration of struggling with learning harder concepts, needing it to be explained in any way possible, and juggling multiple courses at once. I suffer from mild ADHD, so I am experienced in how to handle a learning disability and still doing very well in my courses to obtain A's and B's. I will do my best to aid you in your studying and learning.

I believe that auditory and visual learning is the most beneficial when it comes to learning hard concepts. So I utilize academic sites like Khan Academy to re-explain concepts that the student may not be understanding clearly from the text or myself. I would then break down the concepts even more so. The use of drawing diagrams of pathways or molecules is also very helpful, as well as detailed note taking and practice questions, both verbal and orally.
I believe I can teach high school and college level, because I have taken advanced chemistry and biology courses that would resonate most with students that are older. However, I am sure I can tutor basic sciences for younger students.
