About Deborah
Hi, my name is Deborah. I have been learning and speaking Portuguese since I was born. I was born in the U.S but learned Portuguese at the same time. Later in life, I realized that I wasn’t where I wanted to be language wise, so I taught myself writing and conversational Portuguese, and now many native speakers can’t tell that I’m not. I know too many people who wish they could get to where I’m at linguistically, and that’s what I’m here to do!

Learning Portuguese isn’t just memorizing words, it’s a rich language with a lot of metaphors and a lot of slang and formal phrases that can’t be learned through textbooks. My job is to help you verbally practice what you otherwise wouldn’t be able to with someone who also learned out of a textbook or on your own. Practice makes perfect, so let’s practice your verbal Portuguese to perfection!
