Perfect! I’ve been taking bass lessons with Jeff Brent for about 5–6 months and recently started guitar lessons with him about 2 months ago, and I couldn’t be happier with the progress I’ve made. Jeff is an incredible teacher—extremely talented, intelligent, and deeply knowledgeable about music. What really sets him apart is that he doesn’t just teach tabs or shortcuts; he dives into music theory and explains things in a way that makes it click. It feels like I’m learning the right way, with a strong foundation that will benefit me no matter what instrument I pick up.
Jeff is also super flexible with scheduling, which makes it easy to find a time each week that works. The fact that he teaches through Zoom is not only convenient, but it also makes his lessons affordable since I don’t have to drive anywhere. On top of that, he can teach just about any instrument ( except trumpet🤣), so I know I’ll always have room to grow under his instruction.
He’s not only a gifted musician and teacher but also a genuinely nice and funny person, which makes lessons something I always look forward to. I honestly wouldn’t want to be taught by anyone else from now on.

Jeff is an extremely talented, knowledgeable multi instrumentalist who also has the gift of being a patient and entertaining teacher.. in the time that I have spent with him, I have not come away from one session that has not, in varying degrees, improved my understanding of and playing ability on my instrument.

Perfect! Jeff was fantastic. To begin with, he was very knowledgeable, about both practice and theory. His instruction was clear, he went over our weekly lesson tasks slowly and made sure I fully understood each step before moving forward. He was sensitive to my needs and helped me work out a lesson plan that addressed what I wanted to learn. He provided tips and tricks, outside our regular lesson progression, that can only be learned from someone with his broad professional musician experience! He was patient and above all he was a lot of fun to work with. I had to stop for personal reasons, and regret having to move on. He will further explain how we should learn the guitar and why it has to be played step by step a certain way. Music is a universal language and the fundamentals are very important when playing the instrument. He definitely cares about his students and I can not recommend him enough!

Excellent! I have only had about 4 lesson's to date with Jeff. I find him to be very thorough . He makes everything very clear so I can understand to the best of my ability . I am 75 so it takes me somewhat longer to grasp and sink in things than it would for a younger person. I have a lot of faith with Jeff and I believe if the time were to come that Jeff felt that I was taking on to much or wasting his time as well as mine he would be open and honest in telling me. Perfect! Jeff is very knowledgable about music. He doesn't just try to teach out how to play songs in order to satisfy your immediate desire to play guitar. He teaches the fundamentals of music so you can potentially play anything you want. I've played guitar since I was a teenager (I'm 35 now). After all these years I can finally play a decent solo and jam out with a backing track. I've never been able to do that before! I'm still getting the hang of it and its hard to find time to practice with my busy schedule but even with the little time we've spent together I can confidently say that my playing has improved.
