About Aurélien
I teach guitar in music school as well as in private lessons since 2008. I have accompanied many students to discover the instrument and to accomplish themselves as experienced guitarists and for some as professional musicians.
After self-taught jazz training, I spent two years at the CIM to perfect my knowledge and approach many styles in detail: Bebop, Soul, Latin jazz, Jazz funk, Rhythm and blues, Jazz fusion, swing... I then validated a diploma in musical pedagogy: the DFPM.
At the same time, I have been working as a stage jazz guitarist since 2002.
This complete course allows me to have a very rich toolbox to guide students in many scenarios and undo the intellectual, physical or psychological knots that prevent you from progressing.

Professional guitarist trained at the CIM (school of jazz music in Paris) and graduated in musical pedagogy from the DFPM with 14 years of experience in teaching and 20 years on stage. I give guitar lessons from beginner to advanced in all styles: Pop, rock, blues, jazz, gypsy jazz, bossa nova, classical music, traditional music.
Without pleasure there is no motivation or progress. This is why I attach great importance to adapting to the students. No pieces or imposed exercises, everything is based on the choice of pieces and styles of the students, even for beginners. Music theory is not compulsory but can be taught on request. My job is to adapt the pieces to the level of the students for a regular and motivating progression and with me we play from the first lesson even with beginners!
For advanced guitarists, we will be able to approach more complex technical concepts specific to certain styles, enriched chords, improvisation based on the analysis of great improvisers of your choice and the work of improvisation material: scales, arpeggios ..., score reading, rhythm, ear development and musical theory such as harmony very useful for understanding the workings of music, for composing and improvising.
It is not always easy to find a qualified and competent teacher around your home, especially in the provinces. That's why I allow everyone to have quality lessons from their home just with an internet connection. This also reduces travel costs. My lessons take place via webcam and are fully filmed. After the lesson, the student can therefore watch the lesson as many times as necessary and thus, lesson after lesson, create a collection of small educational films of great value.
The work during the course is very important but the work between sessions is just as important, which is why I stay in contact with my students between sessions for any questions and send them tabs, explanations, audios or personalized videos.

Super prof, ponctuel, pédagogue et très sympa !
J'ai commencé ma 3ème année de cours particulier de guitare avec Aurélien (format de 45 minutes par semaine) et je le recommande à toute personne qui souhaite développer sa technique ou commencer cet instrument. Pour apprendre à rejouer des morceaux que vous aimez et avoir un cours très personnalisé, Aurélien relèvera la partition et vous accompagnera sur le rythme, les accords, les gammes, la technique et l'improvisation et sur tous les genres : rock, blues, jazz, pop, rock...
