About James
I have over 20 years of experience playing guitar, and have been tutoring for over 15 years. Along with this, I have a significant amount of live practical experience, having played in a touring metal band that has traveled throughout North America. If anyone has any questions about band dynamics, I have lots of advice for that too!

I teach a flexible, self-developed syllabus that caters to any contemporary musical style. My lessons are suitable for any skill level, and example materials are tailored to students' individual musical tastes or goals.
In particular, I have a detailed program for teaching fretboard memorisation, chord construction, and improvisational skills. Generally, the practical skills I aim to teach in this program will accelerate the learning of beginner or intermediate players, and give more advanced students an opportunity to develop their musicality and repertoire.
Whether you want to play metal, rock, pop, jazz, blues or country, I have you covered.
