About Tobias
I am an experienced Flute tutor with over 6 years of teaching experience. I teach School students, College students, and working professionals who want to learn flute in a clear, disciplined, and enjoyable way. My goal is to help students develop strong musical skills and confidence at every stage.
My teaching approach focuses on building a solid foundation. I guide students through correct posture, breathing techniques, finger coordination, tone quality, rhythm accuracy, and musical expression. Lessons are planned carefully based on the student’s level and personal goals.
I believe clear communication is essential for effective learning. I explain concepts in simple language and demonstrate techniques during lessons. Accountability is maintained through structured practice routines and regular progress reviews. I teach with integrity by offering honest feedback and consistent guidance.
Along with flute lessons, I also teach music theory, notation reading, rhythm exercises, and basic performance skills. I help students prepare for exams, auditions, and stage performances.
My unique strength is my ability to adjust lessons for learners of different ages and schedules. I create a supportive and disciplined learning environment that helps students enjoy music and grow steadily.

My flute teaching methodology focuses on Communication, Creativity, and Flexibility, providing students with a complete, adaptive, and inspiring learning experience. I begin by assessing each student’s current skill level, goals, and learning preferences to design lessons that are fully personalised.
Communication is central—I teach techniques such as posture, breath control, finger coordination, articulation, phrasing, and sight-reading in a structured and accessible way. Students are encouraged to ask questions, provide feedback, and actively participate in shaping their lessons, building confidence and engagement.
Creativity is at the core of my approach. Students explore improvisation, develop personal interpretations of pieces, and engage in exercises that foster musical composition and self-expression. This encourages both technical mastery and artistic identity. Flexibility allows me to adapt lessons according to the student’s pace, interests, and challenges, ensuring continuous growth and motivation.
In addition to flute instruction, I teach music theory, rhythm, ear training, and sight-reading to develop well-rounded musicianship. My methodology ensures students achieve technical skill, expressive performance abilities, and confidence, while cultivating a lifelong passion for music and a meaningful connection with their instrument.
