About Destinee
Hello! My name is Destinee Scott, and I am currently a junior in high school. Math has always been one of my favorite subjects, and it has always come easy to me. However, I understand that math can be a challenge for some, and that’s perfectly okay! My goal is to teach math in ways that make it easier to understand, so you won't have to struggle. I’ve lived in Virginia my whole life, and in the future, I plan to pursue a career in the medical field, specifically pediatrics. I am excited to help you gain confidence in math, and I am committed to providing a professional and supportive learning experience!

My approach to teaching elementary math and algebra focuses on understanding each student's current knowledge and identifying areas where they may struggle. I start by assessing what they know and use a variety of explanations to see which method helps them understand best. I make lessons engaging by connecting math concepts to their interests, which helps them relate to the material and improves their understanding. I plan on teaching students from 1st to 8th grade, adjusting my approach to suit their individual needs and learning styles.
