About Brenda
I've had a passion for teaching ever since sixth grade. Ever since then, I started helping anyone that I could with school, studying for tests, and homework. I believe that over the years, I began to understand more and more the different learning styles each student can have. I have researched ways to help students learn, finding more innovative ways to deliver the same information for better results. I am very eager to help anyone struggling with a subject, especially if the student is willing to put in the effort to learn.

I have always believed that a tutor's job is to patiently and compassionately explain concepts to students, making them feel confident about their ability to learn. My typical tutoring session includes addressing and answering questions that the student has first, and when the student is comfortable, challenging them with new material. In my experience, there is no such thing as a dumb question and repeating something too many times. I find it important to remember that all students learn in their own way, and a tutor supports them along the way. My tutoring experiences have ranged from neighbors who are in elementary school to high school students needing basic improvement and help for SATs.
