About Mabel
Hi! I'm Mabel. I have just recently graduated from the University of Sheffield with a 2:1 degree in History and Modern Languages & Cultures. I grew up in Bath, but moved to Sheffield just over 4 years ago and love it here. I spent a semester abroad at the University of Valencia (Spain), followed by a semester at the University of Lausanne (Switzerland), where I was really able to improve my language skills.
I have a passion for learning, and want to help others feel the same way. I understand that at school, a lot of times, it is easy to disappear into the crowd and it can be very difficult to ask for help. I offer one-to-one teaching in order to combat this, in a safe and welcoming environment. Once a student learns to love learning, there are no limits as to what they can do!
I am fully flexible with timings (so I can very easily work around school schedules) and am eager to hear students' opinions on how they want to learn. This helps me to create a fully unique plan, catered exactly for what the student needs.
If you have any further questions please just let me know.

- My lessons always aim to be fun and engaging! The more that a student enjoys a lesson, the more they will get out of it.
- I have graduated with a 2:1 degree from the University of Sheffield in History and Modern Languages & Cultures (French and Spanish), so my lessons are available for up to A Level standard.
- Typical length of a lesson: each student will be unique, but I would typically start off with 45 minutes to 1 hour as an average. This can be adjusted if the student desires.
- I have experience teaching art classes to primary school students (6 months), and participated in many schemes whilst in college where I taught the younger years French.
