About Jullie
With a Bachelor's degree in Law and an expansive knowledge of Brazilian Portuguese, I have honed my skills across a multitude of areas. From an early age, I was incredibly dedicated to speaking, writing, and pronouncing Portuguese correctly - a trait not commonly found in my home country. This passion for language led me to provide private Portuguese lessons on a 1x1 basis for two years. Additionally, I spent a year teaching English to children, further solidifying my love for teaching. Upon leaving my country, I was approached by colleagues seeking assistance with their Portuguese, and their progress solidified my love for teaching.
In 2024, I took a leap of faith and pursued my true calling, earning a teaching assistant SEN Level 3 position in the UK. The joy and satisfaction I received from seeing my pupils progress in their learning journey was unparalleled, confirming that I had found my true passion. After a brief hiatus, I am excited to return to the field of education.
Currently, I am pursuing further degrees to continually enhance my expertise and abilities in teaching. My lifelong goal is to grow and improve in this field that I am deeply passionate about. I look forward to the opportunity to help others learn Portuguese, sharing my love for the language and teaching.

My teaching approach is personalized and carefully crafted to meet the unique needs of each student. The process initiates with a preliminary meeting, which allows me to understand the individual's current proficiency level in Portuguese and their specific learning goals. This crucial step helps me design lessons that are most beneficial and relevant to the student.
A significant focus of my lessons is on pronunciation. I understand the importance of clear, correct pronunciation in language learning, and I strive to ensure my students master this aspect. To simplify the learning process and make it more engaging, I adopt a unique approach - I teach pronunciation using the student's native language, English. This methodology not only aids in better comprehension but also makes the learning experience smoother, easier, and enjoyable.
In essence, my lessons are more than just teaching Portuguese; they are about creating a supportive and fun learning environment that encourages students to embrace the language and see their progress.
