About Jonathan
Hi, I'm Jonathan
I love problem-solving, helping people reach their goals and I love my wife! I'm currently an aspiring med student in my gap year before med school. I enjoy soccer, baseball, hiking and always enjoy a good TV show. I first began tutoring when I became eligible for my high school's National Honor Society program. During my junior and senior years of high school, I had the privilege to help other students in a plethora of subjects. While in college at the UCR I continued to tutor HS math, but also expanded my tutoring experience by being hired at UCR as a supplemental instructor for college-level Physics, Chemistry, and Calculus.
This past June, I graduated from UCR Magna cum laude in Chemical Engineering. Please don't hesitate to reach out to me with any questions you may have! I'm willing to work with all age levels from middle school through college. I love to make learning an enjoyable process and understand the challenges that many students face.

I am an avid believer in active learning. While being a tutor for many college courses, I found that students learned the most when they participated more. I do not give answers to questions, rather I will walk with a student through a problem by asking probing questions that slowly guides the answer. The student will do all the critical thinking and improve on not only the content but also their problem-solving skills!
