About Amelia
I first began giving lessons in September of 2017, though I have been helping classmates all through my schooling. In September of 2017, I began tutoring a 13-year-old boy and a 14-year-old girl in math, as well as science, English, social studies, and Spanish. The boy's grades showed much improvement, especially in his math and Spanish classes. The girl's grades were satisfactory to start with, but she felt much more confident with the material and achieved high scores on all her assignments after my instruction.

I am a college student currently working towards a Bachelor's of Science degree in Nuclear Engineering. I have taken math classes up to Calculus II, a Physics course, an introductory engineering course, and a class on Nuclear Energy, and have gotten a 4.0 in these classes. I have also taken a class for Circuit Analysis (Electrical Engineering), and received a 3.0--I am not ashamed to admit that I am not as strong in electrical engineering as I am in other types of math, science, and engineering. For math concepts, I think that using examples to explain the material is the most effective, and like to work out a problem or two, and then let the student work out a few problems with me there to ensure they are taking the right steps. I am more than happy to work with any age student.
