About Adriel
My name is Adriel Heng and I am currently studying at the University of Hong Kong, taking a double-degree of BBA(Law) & LLB (Bachelor of Business Administration and Law).
Now, let me make a few things clear. At the end of the day, relentless hard work, coupled with the desire to improve, motivation to learn further, and healthy competition led me to achieve the highest mark in Malaysia for English Literature in the June 2020 series. I want to share a personal revelation with you—I was once a struggling English Literature student. Despite possessing the capabilities to achieve full marks, I had to navigate through constant self-doubt, impostor syndrome, and an overwhelming sense of insecurity about my own abilities. It was a journey that taught me not only the subject matter but also the importance of resilience, perseverance, and the transformative power of a growth mindset. Beyond the academic credentials, my personal experience fuels the search for meaning in the life in academia for all students alike.
