About Shawnice

I am an international ESL teacher with a Master's in Education focused on ESL + 120hr TESOL cert, who has taught for over 10 years; both, online and in person, in various countries. With these various experiences, I've had the opportunity to work with students of all ages, stages, and backgrounds. Literally almost every continent!

In addition to my educational background, I have been in the performing arts for over 30 years. Between writing, singing, dancing, modeling, and acting, I've done it all! It being a passion of mine naturally allowed things to flow into how I teach and various ways to use it to help learners. For example: music for listening skills and comprehension and/or writing. Writing a script and then performing it works well for writing, reading, and speaking. Everything can have a bit of creativity added in, even the most straightforward and boring parts.

Let's have fun learning.

From conversations to grammar, I adapt lessons to each individual. Using a combination of the arts and language learning practices, we have fun learning in a more natural way.

Additionally, a class could encompass one focused area such as speaking while another class could be a combination of all areas, speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Of course, things like vocabulary, grammar, business, pronunciation, phonics, and more can be done as well.

This is open to all ages starting from 5 yrs old to adults as well as any level; beginners welcome!
